Ci sono casi in cui una descrizione può risultare molto più esaustiva di una recensione – 
traduco quindi direttamente dalle note della press sheet: «“Trunkeret & Ikonisk” consiste in 19 tracce audio 
su un floppy disc standard da 1,44 Mb [sì, quelli di una volta diciamo, che non si usano più, tanto che ho faticato 
ha trovare un lettore funzionante qui in ufficio per leggerlo], che può essere suonato su un computer dotato di lettori 
audio standard quali Winamp, Windows Media Player ed iTunes, senza alcun codec esterno installato. L’audio non è stato 
convertito da materiale esistente, ma composto direttamente all’interno della fascia spettrale usando il formato GSM come 
limitazione timbrica. Lo scopo non è stato quello di far stare più dati possibili su un medium di basso livello come un floppy disc, 
ma piuttosto di esplorare le possibilità musicali inerenti uno specifico medium e formato audio. Su certe tracce l’ampiezza ed il 
basso bit-rate producono frequenze ‘fantasma’ in accordo con il theorema di Nyquist [Dio mi perdoni se non so di che si tratti né ho 
voglia di scomodare Google per scoprirlo] e con l’algoritmo dell’audio codec – ciò significa che frequanze molto alte e rumore 
bianco possono comparire ad un basso bit-rate. Usare un equipaggiamento per l’ascolto dotato di subwoofer è raccomandato. 

I file audio non possono essere convertiti in altri formati come l’mp3 senza alterarne drammaticamente la timbrica [ho provato, è vero]».
Le note spiegano anche che il codec in questione è installato di default su Windows, il che peraltro mi fa chiedere a che serva 
di norma, o quali altri utilizzi esso abbia oltre a quello artistico di questo disco.

Domande futili e per ora senza risposta, come chiedersi come sia venuto in mente a tal Jonas Olesen di realizzare brani di questo tipo. 
Fatto sta che, qualunque fosse il suo intento (pura sperimentazione, scherzo, provocazione, alte finalità espressive), il risultato è 
tutt’altro che malvagio. A differenza di altre opere estreme nell’attitudine ed anche nella pazienza richiesta all’ascoltatore 
(dalla “Metal Machine Music” di Lou Reed alla “Aestethic of the Machine” del nostro Martusciello), questo dischetto risulta certo 
difficile ma inspiegabilmente rilassante – ovviamente se ascoltato a volumi non estremi o con un impianto senza il pericoloso subwoofer 
(allucinante in tal senso 11 ~_¤ GROW CBS OAK ON CLAP, da far tremare i muri del paese vicino). In più, beffardamente, non risulta inferiore
a tanti altri dischi di musica sperimentale del giro Line o simili realizzati senza tale folle limitazione tecnologico-timbrica. 
Che sia dunque un ulteriore passo in là per la frontiera di ciò che è musica o non lo è, oppure uno sterile esperimento di ironia dada, 
apprezzo e sottoscrivo questo disco. Chiunque ami collezionare opere bizzare, o chi voglia far provare nuove senzazioni alle proprie orecchie 
o a quelle dei vicini, sganci i pochissimi euro e se lo procuri. Giuro che ad ascoltarlo tutto in cuffia gira la testa.

Fact is that, any was its attempt (pure experimentation, joke, provocazione, high expressive purposes), the result is anything but malvagio.

of Lou Reed to the “Aestethic of the Machine” of our Martusciello), this floppy disk obviously turns out sure difficult but inexplicably relaxant
 - if listened to not extreme volumes or with a dangerous system without subwoofer (hallucinatory in such sense 11 ~_¤ GROW CBS OAK ON CLAP,
to make to shake the walls of the near country). In more, beffardamente, he does not turn out inferior to many other discs of music experiences 
them of the turn Linens or similar it realizes without such crowds technological-timbrica limitation to you.
